While the Broome County Board of Elections would prefer to have numerous convenient locations for Early Voting, we must keep you, the taxpayer, in mind and limit the number of locations so as to keep the costs as reasonable as possible. Ideally, the Early Voting site locations should be large enough to accommodate numerous early voters and BOE staff as well as multiple voting privacy stations and voting machines, and have sufficient accessible parking and be reachable by public transportation.

The first election for which Early Voting will take place will be the 2019 General Election. The Early Voting poll sites will be open then for nine days from Saturday, October 26, 2019 to Sunday, November 3, 2019. The Early Voting poll sites must be open for certain weekend hours and certain late night weekday hours.

Voters do not have to vote during the Early Voting time period, voting early is optional.

All Election Day poll sites and hours will remain in place as will the existing absentee voting process.
