BALLOT COUNTING DAY(S)

The Broome County Board of Elections will host its Absentee and Affidavit Ballot Counting Day(s) beginning at 9am on Thursday, November, 12th. Due to increased interest and the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are moving counting from our BOE Auditorium to the larger Decker Room at the Broome County Public Library.

Social Distancing, Plexiglas Shields, and Mask Wearing will be in effect. Guests will be required to sign in for potential contact tracing. All proceedings will be carried live through a Facebook Live stream at www.facebook.com/broomevotes.

UPDATE 11/12 @ 4:08pm: Ballot Counting will continue into a second day at the Broome County Library 9am tomorrow, Friday, November 13th.

UPDATE 11/13 @ 6:10pm: Ballot Counting will continue into a third day on Monday at the Broome County Library, with doors opening at 9am, Monday, November 16th.

UPDATE 11/16 @ 3:00pm: Hand-Counting of the remaining ballots will move back to the Broome County Board of Elections, after a Library Staffer tests positive for Coronavirus. While this person has not come in contact with election proceedings, we're moving out of an abundance of caution.
