New York State Opens More Ballot Access This Summer.
Under Executive Order, New York State will allow Independent Petitioning from July 1st through July 30th. Filing dates of those petitions is July 27th - July 30th.
Those seeking to create their own Independent Party/Line to get on the November General Election Ballot must obtain the adjusted number of signatures listed in the table below (Right Column: Independent):
Not only is the Broome County Board of Elections' Ballot Counting Day open to the public, but we will LIVE STREAM from beginning to end. Absentee and Affidavit Ballots will be opened and counted starting on July 1st just after 9am.
The live stream link will be available on our main webpage and ONLINE on social media.
The Broome County Board of Elections will be utilizing consolidated polling locations for the June 23rd Combined Presidential, Federal, State and Local Primary Election.
Any Poll Site open on that day will be open 6am-9pm.
