The New York State Board of Elections has issued a statement for voters ahead of the June 23rd Primary Election.


In accordance of the New York State Constitution, Election Law, and the Governor's Executive Orders the State Board of Elections is providing voters with guidance on how to request an Absentee Ballot or vote safely in person.

The Broome County Board of Elections is working on consolidating from 108 to 34 Poll Sites for the June 23rd Primary Election and Early Voting.



All voters not voting at their usual poll site will be notified by post card of any change in voting location.


In accordance with a New York State Executive Order in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Broome County Board of Elections has mailed Absentee Ballot Applications to all voters ELIGIBLE for the June 23rd Primary Election.


Anyone wishing to Vote-by-Mail with an Absentee Ballot to avoid COVID-19 concerns just select Absentee reason option "Temporary Illness."


Applications can be returned immediately, but must be MAILED by June 16th.
