Absentee Ballot Counting

We will be counting absentee ballots in the Broome County Office Building on Thursday, November 17th beginning at 9 AM.  

This will be open to the public.

Unofficial results (including absentee count) will be posted here on BroomeVotes shortly after the count.

Drawing to a close

It is near 6 PM on Election Night.  The polls will be open for 3 more hours, until 9 PM.

I urge you, if you are thinking about it but have not yet gone - GO VOTE!

Exercise your right as an American, and take a position.  Kindly, and with honor.

We're Getting Close

Election Day 2016 is just around the corner.  5 days out, and tensions are running high.  

Polls in Broome County will be open from 6AM to 9PM on Tuesday, November 8th.

If you are unsure where to vote, now is the time to look up that information.  Click this link to look up your polling place, or hit us on the chat if you aren't sure where to vote.

Please be respectful to your fellow voters and our Election Staff at the polls on Tuesday.

September Primary Consolidation 2016

In order to save Broome County and its taxpayers money, we have consolidated the polling places for the 2016 Primary Election.

There are only 9 primary elections across the county this year.

Independent Petition Deadline

Candidates interested in filing Independent Petitions have until Tuesday, August 23rd at 5:00pm to turn in their petitions.   The Broome County Board of Elections will extend our usual office hours for this period of time - as petitions can be submitted from 9:00am until 5:00pm weekdays through the deadline.

OTB Petition Challenge

This Friday at 9:30 AM there will be an OTB Petition Challenge Hearing in the Broome County Auditorium, 2nd Floor of the Broome County Office Building.  This hearing is open to the public.
