What is Early Voting?

  • It is another voting option, voters can vote in-person before Election Day at any of the  designated Early Voting Centers.

Who can vote early?

  • All eligible registered voters can vote early. 

Where can I vote early?

  • You can vote early at any Early Voting Center location, all of which are accessible facilities:

  • Broome County Public Library - 185 Court St., Downtown Binghamton

  • George F Johnson Memorial Library - 1001 Park St., Endicott

When can I vote early?

  • Early Voting in New York State will begin ten days prior to Election Day.

2024 June Primary Election 

Saturday, June 15th - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Sunday, June 16th - 9a.m.  - 5p.m.

Monday, June 17th - Noon - 8p.m.

Tuesday, June 18th - Noon - 8p.m.

Wednesday, June 19th - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Thursday, June 20th - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Friday, June 21st - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Saturday, June 22nd - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

Sunday, June 23rd - 9a.m. - 5p.m.

How will I vote during early voting?

  • Voting during early voting is the same as voting on Election Day. When you get to the Early Voting Center, you will check in to vote, receive your paper ballot, and vote as you would at any other election.  

 

  • There will be instructions available at the Early Voting Centers to familiarize yourself with your ballot.  There will be a Notice to Voter and the Voter's Bill of Rights on hand.  You may ask an Election Inspector to explain how to properly fill out the ballot, or if you need any additional assistance.

  • Remember, if you vote early, you are not eligible to vote again on Election Day.

 

When will early voting results be posted?

  • Early Voting votes will be canvassed and reported after the polls close at 9pm on Election Night..

 

Can I still vote by absentee ballot? 

  • Yes, If you are absent from Broome County, in the military or overseas, or if you are permanently or temporarily disabled, ill, or are the primary care giver for one or more people who are ill or physically disabled, or a resident of a Veterans Hospital, or detained in jail awaiting Grand Jury action or incarcerated for an offense other than a felony you may apply for an absentee ballot.
